THE SHIPMENT FALL IN COMMERCIAL CATEGORY WHEN CONSIGNEE IS A PRIVATE PERSON.

He may be a business man or any individual in Afghanistan, ordering a shipment in private capacity. However, he must be in possession of import license issued by Afghan Government. The import license is commonly knows as “Jawaz Nama” in Afghanistan. In this case individual has to pay all customs duties in Afghanistan.

MBL Original – It is advised that actual consignee be mentioned in consignee column. | Aarkay Trading & Logistics be mentioned in notify party, in case it is surrendered then telex release will be required. | Packing List Original | Commercial Invoice Original | ISAF Letter from ISAF HQ, Kabul (original) | Letters from Afghan Consulate, Karachi (Processes by Aarkay Trading & Logistics) | Tax Exemption Certificate in original will be required at Pak / Afghan Border.

Keeping in view shipment ruined round time i.e. container moving from Karachi to Afghanistan and empty container returned to shipping line, is about 18-21 days, it is suggested that 21 days free time be negotiated with shipping line. To avoid delays, shipping documents be sent timely to consignee to process memorandum letter, ISAF letters & diplomatic notes required as per shipment category, in turn, to obtain tax exemption certificate.
